Some states choose to include board members as part of the performance review process. If your state includes board members, they may be asked to review Action Plans that agents in their county have created for the next fiscal year. If a board member has an email address listed, the supervisor can send a link to Action Plans for the board member to review.
To email Action Plan links to board members, follow the steps below.
- From the PEARS homepage, hover the cursor over the Review menu and click Performance Reviews:
- The Performance Reviews list displays. Click the Email Action Plans to Board Members button.
- The Email Action Plans window appears. Select the fiscal year and extension unit associated with the Action Plans you would like reviewed. Then, click Send Email.
An alert appears to verify that the emails have been sent. Click OK to return to the Performance Reviews list. - Board members for the unit selected will receive an email including links to Action Plans from that unit for the fiscal year selected.
✓ TIP:
Organization Administrators and supervisors have access to the Performance Reviews page under the review menu. If you would like to request access to this page or changes to the list of agents you supervise, please contact an Organization Administrator or a User Manager. Staff with these roles are listed in the PEARS Directory.
✓ TIP:
PEARS does not keep track of which board members have already received the Action Plans email. Emails will be sent each time the button is pressed to send emails. Please be careful not to send the Action Plan emails to the same board members multiple times.
EXAMPLE:
You may want to email links to next year's Action Plans for the extension unit you supervise.
✓ TIP:
Sometimes board members do not receive the emails sent. If this happens, first ask the board member to check their spam folder. If the email is still missing, you can contact PEARS Support.
NOTE:
Board members can view the linked Action Plans without logging in to PEARS.
