# Delete an Action Plan

Learn how to delete an action plan in PEARS.

Follow the steps below to delete an action plan record.

#### Navigate to Action Plans

From the PEARS homepage, hover over the **Plan** menu in the top navigation bar and click **Action Plans**.

#### Select an Action Plan

Click the action plan you want to delete.

#### Click Delete

On the action plan detail page, click the **Delete** button.

#### Confirm Deletion

A confirmation page asks whether you are sure you want to delete the action plan, and lists any uploads that will be deleted along with it. Click **Yes** to permanently delete the action plan, or **No** to go back.

**NOTE:** Deleting an action plan is permanent and cannot be undone. An action plan that has an action plan report or linked program activities cannot be deleted, nor can a State or Multi-State action plan with connected Individual action plans. In these cases the **Delete** button is unavailable; hover over it to see the reason.
