Extension Module Descriptions

Overview of the Extension reporting modules available in PEARS.

PEARS provides several modules for reporting Cooperative Extension activities. Extension modules share some overlap with SNAP-Ed modules but include additional tools for tracking professional development, quarterly efforts, and performance reviews.

Shared Modules

Extension organizations have access to the same core reporting modules as SNAP-Ed, with some configuration differences:

  • Program Activities — Report direct education sessions and programs delivered to participants.

  • PSE Site Activities — Document policy, systems, and environmental changes at partner sites.

  • Social Marketing Campaigns — Track coordinated marketing initiatives that promote behavioral change.

  • Indirect Activities — Report outreach activities delivered without face-to-face contact.

  • Partnerships — Document collaborative relationships with external organizations.

  • Coalitions — Track multi-organization groups committed to joint action.

  • Success Stories — Capture narratives illustrating the impact of Extension programming.

Extension-Specific Modules

  • Direct Contacts — Track individual contacts and demographic data for Extension programming.

  • Action Plans — Define goals, outcomes, indicators, and outputs for Extension program planning.

  • Quarterly Efforts — Report quarterly summaries of Extension work including contacts, efforts, and demographics.

  • Action Plan Reports — Document progress toward action plan outcomes with evidence and data.

  • Professional Development — Track event proposals, approved events, and staff development plans.

  • Performance Review Plans — Manage the performance review process including self-assessments, supervisor reviews, and board member evaluations.
