# Add SNAP-Ed Custom Data to a Program Activity

If your program activity includes a SNAP-Ed program area, you will need to complete the SNAP-Ed Custom Data section. This section captures project details, curricula, intervention topics, and other SNAP-Ed-specific information.

## Navigate to SNAP-Ed Custom Data

After completing the Collaborators step, PEARS directs you to the Custom Data page. Click the **SNAP-Ed** tab to open the SNAP-Ed custom data form. You can also access this section from the program activity detail page by clicking **Custom Data** in the progress panel.

#### Apply a Template (if available)

If your organization has created SNAP-Ed custom data templates, you can apply a template to pre-fill the form. Select a template from the **Template** dropdown and the form fields will populate with the saved values.

**TIP:** Templates save time when you frequently create program activities with the same SNAP-Ed settings. Contact your PEARS administrator to set up templates for your organization.

#### Select a Project

In the **Project name** field, select the SNAP-Ed project associated with this program activity from the dropdown. This field is required.

#### Select an Intervention (if applicable)

If the **Intervention** field is available, select the appropriate intervention from the dropdown. The available options are filtered based on your reporting period.

#### Select a Setting

In the **Setting** field, select the framework setting where the program was delivered from the dropdown. If the appropriate option is not listed, select **Other** and enter the setting in the text field that appears.

#### Select a Primary Curriculum

In the **Primary Curriculum** field, select the SNAP-Ed approved curriculum that is most aligned with this program activity. This field is required.

If the appropriate curriculum is not listed, select **Other** and enter the curriculum name in the text field that appears.

The available curricula are filtered based on your reporting period and organization.

#### Select Additional Curricula (optional)

In the **Additional Curricula** field, select any additional SNAP-Ed approved curricula used in this program activity, if applicable.

#### Select Objectives (if applicable)

In the **Objectives** field, select the objective(s) from your state's SNAP-Ed proposal that align with this program activity. More than one objective may be selected.

If the appropriate objective is not listed, select **Other** and enter the objective in the text field that appears.

#### Select Target Audiences (if applicable)

In the **Target audiences** field, select the group(s) of individuals this program activity is intended to reach. More than one audience may be selected.

If the appropriate audience is not listed, select **Other** and enter the audience in the text field that appears.

#### Select Intervention Topics (if applicable)

In the **Intervention Topics** field, select the EARS intervention topic(s) covered by this program activity. More than one topic may be selected.

If the appropriate topic is not listed, select **Other** and enter the topic in the text field that appears.

#### Select a Funding Source (if applicable)

If the **Funding Source** field is available, select the funding source for this program activity from the dropdown.

**NOTE:** The Funding Source field is only available for organizations that have enabled this feature. If your organization requires it, this field will be marked as required.

#### Select Priority Indicators (if applicable)

In the **Priority Indicators** field, select any priority indicators that apply to this program activity. More than one indicator may be selected.

#### Indicate Food Demonstration

In the **Did this activity include a food demonstration/taste test?** field, select **Yes** or **No**.

<summary>GLOSSARY: Food Demonstration</summary>

A **food demonstration** is an activity where participants observe or participate in food preparation and may sample the prepared food. This includes taste tests where participants try a food item. It does not include scenarios where food is simply provided for consumption without an educational component.

#### Enter Recipes Used (if applicable)

If the program activity included a food demonstration, enter the names of the recipes used in the **What recipe(s) were used?** field.

#### Save and Continue

Click the **Save and Continue** button to save the SNAP-Ed custom data and proceed to the next step in the workflow.

To save without continuing, click the **Save** button instead.
