# Direct Education Volunteers

**Applied Filters**

* **Viewable records** — Only Program Activities the current user has permission to view are included.

**Non-Applicable Filters**

All standard Program Activity filters are supported by this panel.

#### Calculations

1. PEARS retrieves all viewable Program Activities that match the current dashboard filters.
2. The panel calculates two summary statistics:
   * **Total Volunteers** — Sum of each program activity's **Number of Volunteers** value across all matching programs.
   * **Total Volunteer Hours** — Sum of each program activity's **Total Volunteer Hours** value across all matching programs.
3. Both values are displayed as large summary numbers.

#### Additional Notes

* These values are entered directly on each program activity record and are not derived from session data.
