Summary
On August 1, 2024, a new AI-powered features were made available within certain modules of PEARS.
Enabling AI tools in your organization will allow sending certain data to OpenAI for processing as outlined below. Per the OpenAI Enterprise Privacy Policy, data will be kept confidential and will not be used for training.
When this setting is enabled, PEARS will perform AI-powered, context-dependent tasks as described below.
When enabled, AI Tools will appear as an AI 🤖 button. Clicking this button will perform different context-dependent tasks as described below.

Summarize Success Stories
- Module: Action Plan Reports
- Purpose: Summarize success stories in the activity report under the “Outputs” section.
- Data Sent to OpenAI: The body text of any success stories related to the action plan.
- How To Use:
- Click the “Generate New Report” button to have AI analyze the content of your success stories and provide a summary.
Generate Public Value Statement
- Module: Action Plans
- Purpose: Generate a public value statement in the “Situation Assessment” section.
- Data Sent to OpenAI: User-inputted data from the following fields:
- Needs Assessment Results
- Situation Statement
- How To Use:
- Click the 🤖 AI button above the Public Value text box.
- Provide any additional context you would like to provide for inspiration for the public value statement
- Click “Generate your Response” to submit your data. An AI-Generated response will be provided.
- Click “Use Response” to apply this response to your Public Value statement.
Overview of Survey Responses
- Module: Program Activities
- Purpose: Provide a high-level overview of survey response data for any survey attached to a program activity.
- Data Sent to OpenAI: All responses submitted for that program survey.
- How To Use:
- From the Program Activity Detail View, scroll down to the “Evaluation” section.
- Click the “Analyze” Button. Survey responses will be analyzed and summarized.
- A summary page detailing an overview of the survey results will be displayed.
