Copy a Module

Duplicate an existing custom module or template in PEARS.

Copying a module creates a new module with the same sections, fields, and options as the original. This is useful when you need a similar module with minor variations, or when you want to create a template from an existing module.

1

From the Module Builder list, click on the module you want to copy.

2

Click Copy

Under the Actions button, click Copy button to open the copy form.

3

Enter a Module Name

In the Module Name field, enter a name for the new module.

4

Enter a Module Identifier

In the Module Identifier field, enter a unique slug for the new module. The identifier must contain only lowercase letters, numbers, and underscores.

5

Select a Menu Location

In the Menu Location field, select where the new module appears in the navigation menus (Plan, Engage, or Reflect). The menu location defaults to the same location as the original module.

6

Create as Template (optional)

Check the Create as Template option if you want the copy to be a reusable template instead of a regular module. Templates are not visible to end users and can be used as starting points when creating new modules. See Module Templates for details.

7

Save

Click Save to create the copy. The new module is created with a draft version containing all sections, fields, and options from the original. You are redirected to the Module Setup page for the new module.

TIP: Copying a module does not copy response data. The new module starts with zero responses.
