Import Sites

Import site records and site demographics data in bulk using spreadsheet files.

PEARS supports two import workflows for site data: importing new site records from a spreadsheet, and importing site demographics data.

Permission required: Organization administrator or programming manager.

Import Site Records

Use this workflow to create multiple site records at once from a spreadsheet file.

1

Download the Import Template

From the site import page, click Download Template to generate an import template customized to your organization. The template includes columns for all site fields and a Key Mapping sheet listing valid values for city, state, area type, and setting fields.

2

Prepare the Spreadsheet

Fill in the template with your site data. The following columns are available:

Upload the File

Upload the completed spreadsheet file. PEARS will validate each row and report any errors such as missing required fields, unrecognized cities, or invalid parent site references.

Review and Confirm

Review the validation results. Rows with errors will not be imported. Correct any issues and re-upload if needed.

Import Site Demographics

Use this workflow to update demographic data for existing sites in bulk.

1

Export Current Demographics

From the site demographics import page, download the current demographics export. This provides a spreadsheet pre-filled with your existing site IDs, names, and any current demographic values.

2
